This facility is a subsidiary of a $17 billion dollar, Public, global leader in equipment and services for the power generation and rail transport industries This facility’s primarily focus is in the IGT (Industrial Gas Turbine) replacement components industry
• Work with manufacturing suppliers to develop and qualify processes/products
• Act as key technical contact at suppliers to investigate and resolve quality issues associated with the manufacture of industrial gas turbine engine hardware (development and production)

• Act as primary technical focal point at suppliers to direct Process/Product Development machining efforts associated with the fabrication of IGT (Industrial Gas Turbine) hardware for new parts or new suppliers

• Conduct process reviews at suppliers and ensure that they are in compliance with the fixed processes as established for manufacture of specific components
• 3
• Assist the quality department in drafting quality specifications, material and process specifications, procedures, and manufacturing inspection methods for non conventional and conventional machining

• Act as the primary technical focal point at suppliers to aide in cause and corrective action

• Communicate both internally and externally to keep management, suppliers, customers, and IPT (Integrated Product Team) members informed of activity
• Communicate to management significant issues or barriers that may prevent the successful completion of the task

• Facilitate and actively work to insure all quality documentation is correct, complete, and timely with hardware and recorded in proper PSM database

• Work with Manufacturing Engineers on the IPT’s to support cost reduction initiatives
• 8
• Work within the IPT environment to identify/develop new materials and manufacturing processes to improve hardware Life Cycle Cost
