  • The Gas Operations Team Leader position is a key leadership role to ensure cooperatively with other line and staff functions, the results of our gas operations
  • Contribution to these results will be achieved by managing our gas operations in a manner which makes optimum use of facilities and personnel to provide safe, environmentally responsible, reliable, and efficient operation. Job Responsibilities: 1. Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and the communities in which we operate and or transport our products, as our highest priority 2
  • Manage the operations to meet or exceed the business goals for operational excellence and improved cost control, quality, reliability and productivity

  • Create a respectful, team environment among the workforce and develop employees for roles of increasing responsibility

  • Monitors deliverable commitments, their corresponding schedule and resource requirements at appropriate intervals regarding work-in-progress and any operations problems or delays

  • Set operational priorities and allocate resources to meet the operational and business needs

  • Develop initiatives and projects to maintain and improve the operations in areas of safety, environmental, quality, cost reduction and productivity

  • Maintain a culture that promotes excellence and direct, open communications

  • Provides focus and build commitment of the staff to achieve the goals and objectives of Gas Operations and Elk Hills’ business unit

  • Manage and measure work and business results through the use of appropriate metrics and key performance indicators 10
  • Recruit, develop and maintain a proficient staff to ensure effective implementation of the Gas Operations programs and to support other business unit needs

  • Understands HES policies and a strong commitment for continuous improvement in HES; 12
  • Ensures that Process Safety and Risk Management principles are incorporated into the foundation of department operations
